Conventional generators deliver consistent power for general use. Their straightforward design ensures reliability, making them suitable for home backup, construction sites, and outdoor events. With various sizes and power outputs, conventional generators are versatile solutions for diverse energy needs.
Conventional generators, also called open-frame generators, are designed for maximum continuous power output. Running at a fixed 3,600 RPM, they deliver robust performance for NZ worksites, farms, rural properties, and industrial applications where sustained high loads are the norm. Without the acoustic enclosure of a silent inverter model, conventional generators are louder but simpler to service, more cost-effective at equivalent output, and better suited to environments where noise is not a primary concern. Generator Shop stocks 16 conventional generator models with outputs from 3 kVA to 11.5 kW, including single-phase and three-phase options with electric start. Models from GT Power, Briggs & Stratton, and Yamaha cover a full range of NZ applications from portable site power to stationary farm and backup use. All units ship NZ-wide with fast dispatch.
